Caravan fire on A130
A FIRE on an abandoned caravan closed the A130 last night.
The caravan had been towed and then left on the Rayleigh Spur northbound after Sadlers Farm.
Police and fire were called at 7pm.
The road had to be closed for about an hour as the caravan contained cylinders of propane or butane and there was a risk of explosion.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the caravan recovered.
