SHIPP Violet Louise It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Mrs Violet Shipp at Elizabeth House Care Home, Hadleigh on August 29th 2023 at the great age of 108. Formerly of Steeple Heights, she was married to Ben Shipp who died many years ago. Violet had a very long life, born in Lambeth in 1915, she started work when she was 14 years old working for a stationery company in Blackfriars, London. During the war she worked for Mullards Radio and Valve co. Her last employer of many years was The Civil Service which she was very proud, she retired when she was 60. The Funeral Service will be held at Southend Crematorium, 2pm on the 5th October 2023. All are welcome to attend, refreshments at The Gun Pub, Pitsea. Please make any charitable donations to the Little Havens Hospice.
