It is with great sadness that the family of Daphne Bennett (née Grover) announce the passing of a dear Mum, Nan and Grandma. Daphne and her Husband Ron lived over Beach Road Bakery for nearly 40 years until their retirement. Ron was the master baker from 1951 and Daphne run the shop and did the accounts. Ron became a partner for a few years before finally buying the business and having the family name over the shop. Daphne's hobby was flower arranging and she was social secretary, chairman and finally a president of the Southend Floral Art Club. Daphne suffered Alzheimer's in her later few years but lived a full life and passed away aged 97. The funeral is at Southend Crematorium at 12 noon on Tuesday the 20th February.
