Car fire in Chalkwell closes A13
A CAR fire is blocking part of the A13.
Shortly after 3.30pm today, firefighters from Southend were called to the scene opposite Chalkwell Pets in London Road.
Eyewitnesses say a woman was driving along when smoke began pouring from her car. As she pulled over, it caught light.
The road is blocked from the Cricketers pub to Crowstone Road.
