RUMOURS that V Festival headliner Beyonce has flown into Southend Airport today have proved to be unfounded.
Reports that the former Destiny’s Child singer was flying into Southend began about three days ago, but have reached a peak today.
Social media came alive today with Twitter users claiming to be airport workers tweeting about their excitement.

But the airport, which has facilities for celebrities arriving by private jet, has denied the star is coming on that route.
Unless Beyonce, who recently became a mother by rapper Jay-Z, is arriving by easyJet or Aer Lingus, in which case the airport would not necessarily be informed, it appears unlikely she is using the airport.
An airport spokeswoman gave the official comment: “We do not comment on private jet passengers for reasons of their confidentiality.”
