Crews tackle fire at Thorney Bay Caravan Park
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at Thorney Bay Caravan Park on Canvey after a mobile home caught fire.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire which started at around 10.53am today.
Fire crews from Canvey and Rayleigh Weir wore breathing apparatus and used hose reels to extinguish the blaze by 11.30am.
They had to remove and cool two gas cylinders involved in the fire.
The home was vacant and it is believed that the residents had recently moved out.
There were no casualties.
A full fire investigation will now be carried out to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
