THERE were delays in Southend town centre after a car fire this morning.
One lane of Victoria Avenue southbound, close to the Civic Centre, was blocked by a car fire which started around 8.25am.
Firefighters from Southend station attended the scene and used one hose to put out the blaze.
They had put it out by 8.42am.
