Lorry fire in Stanford
A LORRY has been destroyed by fire.
Firefighters were called to a waste management lorry on fire in Buckingham Hill Road, Stanford, at about 12.45am today.
The cab of the lorry was well alight by the time two crews from Orsett arrived.
Firefighters in breathing masks used a hose to put the fire out by about 1am.
