Water cannons used to put out recycling plant fire
FIREFIGHTERS used water cannons to extinguish a blaze at a Basildon recycling plant.
Crews were called to Courtauld Road at 7.45am today, where they found a fire in a pit.
They used one jet and on-site water cannons to put the fire out within an hour.
