A MAN has been charged in connection with a robbery in which a pregnant woman and her partner were injured.

The incident took place at an address in Beambridge, Pitsea, on March 2.

Nathan Blake, 26, unemployed, of Kessock Close, London, was charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on May 26.
