FIVE men were arrested after a man and a woman were found with injuries in a road.
Maplin Way and Delaware Road in Shoebury were closed at about 2pm after police were called to a disturbance in Maplin Way.
Southend Council advised that school collections at Thorpedene Primary School were affected.

The roads were re-opened at about 4.10pm.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 1.50pm today (Wednesday May 25) to a report of a disturbance at Maplin Way, Shoebury.
“Officers attended and following enquiries located a man with minor injuries to his chin and a woman with minor injuries to her hand.
“Five men were arrested a short time later and have been taken into custody for questioning.”
