Body found on beach in Westcliff
A BODY has been found on a beach in Westcliff.
Police were called following concern for the welfare of a man on Western Esplanade, Westcliff, shortly before 3.30am today, Saturday, November 18.
Officers and paramedics attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is being treated as unexplained and investigations are ongoing.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Southend at CID on 101, quoting incident 137 of November 18.

The man has been identified as Carl Connors.
Police have said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
