ESSEX Police responded following reports a man was abusive to members of the public, claiming he had coronavirus.
The force's control room received a call from a member of the public claiming a man was being abusive towards the public.
It was also claimed he said he was suffering from coronavirus.
He did not have the infection.
However, he was arrested on suspicion of committing a public order offence.
We had a call from a member of the public reporting that a male was being abusive towards the public and also saying they he had coronavirus.
