A MAN has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a medical emergency in Thorpe Bay.
Reports online stated there was a large ambulance and police presence in Station Road, Thorpe Bay this afternoon.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust has confirmed one person was taken to hospital.
A spokesman said: "Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle were called to an address in Station Road Southend this afternoon following reports of a man with a medical emergency.
"One patient was transported to Southend University Hospital in a serious condition."
