A vehicle allegedly left a shop in Southend earlier today with a large amount of items and made no attempts to pay.
Essex Police Force Control Room was notified by Southend CCTV about a vehicle which had left a shop in the city after reportedly taking a large amount of items and making no attempts to pay.
This was immediately flagged to ANPR which tracked the vehicle heading to Basildon.

This was immediately flagged to ANPR who tracked the vehicle heading to Basildon.
Essex Police's Operational Support Group attended and located the vehicle containing the allegedly stolen items inside.
Suspects have been arrested on suspicion of theft.
