TV presenter and math whizz Rachel Riley made a return visit to school as she helped open a new learning centre.
Rachel paid a visit to Thorpe Hall School to open The Hive, the school’s new library and learning resource centre.
Former pupil Rachel returned to the school after 25 years and saw how much the school has changed as she enjoyed a tour of the facilities.
She visited the year 5 and 6 pupils where she hosted a special Countdown style challenge.
Pupils picked up some great tips and advice about how to look for patterns in numbers and help make maths easier.
With the help of Mr Duckitt, Rachel unveiled a special logo for The Hive, designed by Year 9 student Poppy, to mark the official opening of the new space.
