Four people have been arrested in connection to reports of a fight at a south Essex retail park where people "were spraying an unknown substance at each other".
Police were called before 3.45pm yesterday (December 19) to Lakeside Retail Park where the four people were arrested on suspicion of affray.
It’s not believed anyone was seriously injured but one of the people arrested has been taken to hospital.
At this stage Essex Police believe this was a targeted incident and it poses no risk to the wider public.
The police have confirmed that additional patrols will be taking place in the area this evening to provide reassurance.
A spokesman for the force said: "Four people have been arrested in connection with a disturbance at the Lakeside retail park in Thurrock.
"We were called shortly before 3.45pm today (Monday 19 December) to reports four involved in an incident where they were spraying an unknown substance at each other.
"Officers attended and arrested four people were arrested on suspicion of affray."
They added: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote incident 773 of 19 December."
