A landmark Southend seafront restaurant next to the Kursaal has been put up for sale
The Minerva was a popular pub on Southend seafront - in an ideal location next to the Kursaal.
The building was empty for years after closure before it was taken over by businessmen in 2014 and replaced with the Bourgee restaurant.
However, the plush Bourgee restaurant was sadly shut in 2018 "following a protracted dispute and lengthy discussions between all parties".
It later became the 300degrees bar and restaurant, popular for its steaks and cocktails.
Bosses of the restaurant took to Facebook before Christmas to announce: "Due to the economic climate, we will be closed from 3am on Sunday January 1 2023 until Wednesday February 3 2023 for a winter break.
"However we are available for birthday party, baby showers, wedding receptions, life events."
The restaurant has now been listed for sale on Rightmove with the owners "open to offers".
The estate agents say the premises boasts a large dining area surrounding the central bar area as well as an outside decked area "ideal for 'al fresco' dining with fantastic views towards the Kent Coast".
They add: "The premises also benefits from a basement with limited head height but ideal for additional storage, the ground floor is currently owner occupied but will be vacant upon completion."
There are also six flats above, all let on AST's.
