DETECTIVES investigating the death of Terry Leeks in Basildon have charged two people with manslaughter.
Forty-six-year-old Terry was fatally assaulted in Northlands Park at around 1.30am in July 2021.
Bailey Taylor, 20, of Craylands, Basildon and a 16-year-old boy were arrested yesterday and charged with manslaughter and robbery.
They appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on February 17 and are next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on March 17.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We continue to appeal for information about Terry’s death.
"A £20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Terry’s death is still in place by the independent charity Crimestoppers.
