A HOCKLEY man has tragically died following a medical emergency incident.

Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were called following concern for the welfare of a man.

Emergency services including police and ambulances arrived at The Spa pub on Friday, February 17, following calls concerning the welfare of a man. 

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to Southend Road following concerned calls for the welfare of a man.

"Police and ambulance attended and despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man, sadly, died at the location.

"His death has been investigated and is being treated as unexpected, but non-suspicious."
