A c2c spokesman has given a "final" update on the little dog workers found travelling alone on one of their trains.

The rail firm issued an update earlier this week on the pooch found alone on board one of its trains at Barking on March 23.

The dog, named 'Lucky', was taken to a vet nearby to check for a microchip and the c2c had urged anyone who recognised him to get in touch.

Despite discovering a microchip, vets found there was no owner registered and no one came forward.

Workers continued to appeal to get Lucky back to his owners, but, after no luck, the adorable dog was adopted with help from the RSPCA.

Lucky was pampered at the home of one of the c2c's station staff as well as the groomers at the start of the week, with more than a kilo of matted hair removed.

Now the c2c has tweeted its final update, for now, on little Lucky. The video shows him happily running around the garden at his new home.

Tweeting the clip, the c2c spokesman added: "Here's our final (for now) Lucky update, all happy and loving his new home!"
