ANOTHER power cut is affecting properties on Canvey Island tonight.
The issue was reported just after 6pm.
It's impacting Canvey Island properties in the SS8 0 and SS8 9 postcode areas, and comes as a result of an electrical equipment fault.
Several power cuts have affected Canvey Island residents in recent weeks. Residents faced outages for more than five hours last Monday.
Engineers are currently on site in the First Avenue area investigating the issue, which they currently estimate to have resolved between 10pm and 11pm this evening.

An earlier statement on the UK Power Networks website said: "Our staff are on the way to the First Avenue area as our safety equipment within the nearby substation has operated.
"We believe a developing cable fault is causing these repeat power cuts, so while our estimated time frame to have power back on is currently between 10pm and 11pm, it's possible this may need to change once staff have assessed.
"This is because every power cut increases the chance of the fault developing to a point that our specialist teams can pinpoint it using specialist equipment."
