A MAN has been arrested after a victim was stabbed during an altercation near a Leigh pub.
Emergency services were called to Leigh Road, close the junction with Chalkwell Park Drive, at about 10.30pm on Friday, July 21.
After arriving, they found a man in his 20s had sustained stab wounds to his back and side during a fight near the Broker Freehouse pub.
The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening and a 20-year-old man was arrested close-by.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We arrived and found a man aged in his 20s had sustained stab wounds to his back and side during an altercation outside the Broker pub.
"Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment."
The man who was arrested was questioned on suspicion of causing GBH and has been released on conditional bail.

Staff at the Broker aided police in resolving the issue.
Thomas Gloyne, owner of the Broker, added outlined the situation.
He added: “We got called by Leigh Pubwatch who informed us about the incident on the corner of the road and asked us to call the police which we did.
“Chris Huggett of Mariners Court Pub also received the call and rushed around to try and resolve the incident.”
The Essex Police spokesman said: “As our inquiries have continued, we now believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
“We would like anyone with information, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage to come forward to speak to us.

Police can also be called on 101 but always call 999 in an emergency.
