Two "vibrant" bars have been re-opened at Rayleigh's much-loved Mill Hall after a comprehensive revamp.
The grand reopening of the bars, renamed as Performers Bar and The Millers Bar, has been announced today with them now being managed by Eternity Events Essex.
The bar areas have been revitalised to create a welcoming atmosphere, ready to serve as the heart and soul of Rochford District Council's events bookings.
Earlier this week, Eternity Events Essex welcomed council chairman Jack Lawmon and councillor Vilma Wilson, councillor responsible for public spaces and assets, who joined director Phoebe Barnes and operational manager Kieron Stapleton, to see the new bar areas ahead of their first event.
Vilma Wilson, Rochford councillor responsible for public spaces and assets, said: "The Mill Arts and Events Centre has long been a hub for our community's diverse and vibrant events. We are happy to see the main hall and bar lounge revitalised and we hope this will encourage even more bookings and extend the variety of events.
"The partnership with Eternity Events Essex has truly added a fresh touch to our beloved spaces. We're confident that people will be pleased with the new atmosphere and the array of events that can be hosted here."
Whether residents are planning a craft fair, a birthday party, a wedding reception, a dance competition, a performance, or a concert, councillors have hailed The Mill Arts and Events Centre as the perfect space for events.
One of the first groups to experience the newly refurbished bar areas was Ceroc Rayleigh, who held their Monday class earlier this week. The council says the positive response from event organisers and attendees "underscores the exceptional quality and versatility of these newly refreshed spaces".
The refurbished bar areas will continue to play a key role in the upcoming events at the Mill Arts and Events Centre, including a pantomime and live performances.
