A large retailer is set to re-open its store at Eastgate shopping centre next week after a £185,000 revamp.

Europe’s biggest shoe retailer Deichmann is set to open its doors to its newly re-fitted 390m2 store on Monday located at the Basildon shopping centre.

A grand opening event next Saturday will celebrate the complete £185,000 investment with 50 per cent off selected lines, in-store giveaways, offers and family fun activities including a spin the wheel game throughout the day.

The first 25 customers at the event will also get free shoes for up to £25 and limited edition bags will be handed to the first 500.

The Basildon store stocks a full range of footwear including exclusive lines from brands such as adidas, Fila, Nike, Puma and Skechers.

The re-opening comes after the brand's Southend store inside Victoria Shopping Centre also underwent a major investment creating five new permanent jobs in the area.

At more than 100 years old, Deichmann has stores in 31 countries worldwide - which includes 130 stores in the UK.

Th brand frequently collaborates with big name fashion designers and A-List stars, including model and influencer Leni Klum and British singers Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding.
