A MAN was left with a serious head injury after being punched outside a pub in Basildon.
Police received reports that a man in his 50s was punched in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor in Wash Road, outside the Noak Bridge pub.
The incident happened at around 12.10am last Sunday, January 27.
He has sustained a serious head injury which has been described as "life-changing".
There was a large crowd outside and the pub itself was very busy at the time, leading police to believe there will be people who saw what happened.
Officers are looking for witnesses to get in contact to help them with their investigation.
