Two men who were arrested in connection with the death of a teenager after a crash in Essex have been bailed.
Essex Police were called to reports of a single vehicle crash at around 12.40am on Thursday (April 25) at the junction of Pipps Hill Road and Oak Road in Billericay.
The road was closed for several hours while police carried out investigation work.
Sadly, a 19-year-old woman from Romford died after being taken to hospital with three other people.
Officers had arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
In an update, Essex Police confirmed both men have been bailed until May 25.
Detectives have urged anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the time to contact Essex Police by quoting incident 34 of 25 April when submitting information.
