TWO people from Canvey have been charged in connection with disorder outside Downing Street last week.

Tyler Vella, 24, of Link Road, and Lee Bracken, 40, of Denham Road, have both been charged with failing to comply with a condition imposed upon an assembly.

They are each due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday August 16.

More than 100 people were arrested after disorder in Whitehall, central London, during a demonstration badged as 'Enough is Enough' last Wednesday.

As of today, 21 people have been charged in connection with the disorder. Several suspects have already appeared before magistrates and many more are due to appear in the coming days.

Thousands of officers will be on duty this weekend as police forces across the country, including the Met, continue to reassure communities.

Jaswant Narwal and Lionel Idan, Chief Crown Prosecutors with responsibility for the two Crown Prosecution Service London areas, said: “Prosecutors across London are working in real-time with the police to provide legal advice, authorise charges, and get perpetrators into court quickly to deliver justice.

“There can be no doubt that anyone involved in disorder, hate crimes or social media related offences will be prosecuted.

“We’re using a variety of offences and court orders to make sure that perpetrators receive tough penalties.”
