SHOCKED workers at a c2c station in Southend are looking after a tortoise at their ticket office after the pet was spotted wandering on railway tracks.
The tortoise was found walking on the tracks earlier this afternoon and rescued by staff, who are looking after him at the ticket office.
A c2c spokesman shared on social media: "Is anybody missing a tortoise? This little guy seems to have sh-eloped from his owners and made it to Southend.
"He's now safely shell-tering with ticket office staff!"
