A MAN has tragically died after a medical emergency in Basildon.

Emergency services blocked off the bottom of Falstones, near Great Knightleys, yesterday after being called to reports of a medical emergency shortly before 11.45am.

Residents reported seeing multiple ambulance vehicles and a police car at the scene. An air ambulance also landed nearby. 

Sadly, a man died at the scene, the ambulance service confirmed. His next of kin have been informed.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called just before 11.45am on Thursday October 24 to a medical emergency on Falstones in Basildon. 

“Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. 

“Sadly, an adult man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
