NEW speed cameras to enforce a 50mph limit along the A127 will be in place in the New Year, it has been announced.
Essex County Council has unveiled a £1.2million project to install average-speed cameras.
The scheme will involve a 70mph limit from the Nevendon interchange to just after the Dick Turpin pub. The speed limit will then be reduced to 50mph for the remaining four miles leading up to Southend borough boundary.
