SIX young dancers from south Essex will be appearing on television throughout the festive season.
The youngsters, from Southend-based Wiggles dance group, were chosen to take part in the music video for a Christmas single written by Bill Oddie, the wildlife presenter and former member of The Goodies.
The video for the Christmas Song will be screened on the CBeebies programme, the Green Balloon Club, during the next fortnight, and will also be available on the BBC website.
Lorraine Field, owner of Wiggles, said all the children had a fantastic time filming the video at Lee Valley Park farm, in Waltham Abbey.
She said: “It was amazing. They all had such fun, and Bill Oddie was really good with the kids as well.
“We got involved after I got a phone call from the BBC, which contacted me on the strength of the Wiggles website.
“It said it was looking for some young breakdancers to take part in the video. We’ve got some really good dancers at the group, from both Basildon and Southend.”
The video also features young Bollywood and Irish dancers.
