DETECTIVES have released this image of two men they believe launched a vicious dancefloor rampage for no apparent reason.
The CCTV has been made public following the violence at the Ivory Rooms, in Laindon Road, Billericay.
During the fracas, a 24-year-old man, from Wickford, suffered serious head injuries, a 28-year-old Billericay woman was head-butted, and two 24-year-old men, both from Billericay, had to be treated for serious facial injuries.
A 23-year-old man, from Wickford, was left with a minor facial injury and a 21-year-old Wickford woman received a badly bruised arm.
Investigating officer, PC Steve Dawkins, said: “This was an extremely vicious series of attacks on people who were enjoying a night out.
“It seems in the space of a few minutes two men went around the dance floor assaulting people for no apparent reason.
“They left before police arrived.
“We want to hear from anyone who can identify the two men in these pictures, or from anyone who may have information about the attacks.”
The violence erupted at about 12.15am on bank holiday Monday, May 31.
It is believed the men may come from the south west of the county, and one might be from the Grays area.
One is about 6ft 4in tall in his early forties with short brown hair. The other man is about 6ft, aged in his mid-twenties with short curly brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Dawkins at Wickford police on 0300 3334444.
