A DOG was brutally attacked onboard a train after a man rowed with his girlfriend.
The man could be heard arguing with a woman on his mobile phone as the train travelled towards Hockley.
He was then heard to say: “Because I am angry with you, I am going to hurt the dog.”
He then repeatedly punched a black and white Staffordshore Bull Terrier around the head before kicking it.
The dog’s eyes were closed and weeping throughout the ordeal.
The RSPCA and British Transport Police have now launched a joint investigation.
The want to speak to anyone who was onboard the train at about 11pm on May 16 and saw the man.
He had a shaven head and was wearing a black jacket, with a thick gold chain around his neck.
He continued on the train towards Prittlewell.
Anyone with information should call the RSPCA on 0300 123 4999.
