A TEENAGER was attacked by a gang of yobs in Chalkwell Park.
The 17-year-old was near the pond when he was approached by a group of about 13 youngsters.
Three of them broke away from the pack and began to verbally abusing him, and punching him in the face.
He was left with a bruised and swollen face and cut lip.
The suspects were all boys aged between 13 and 14 and one was black, one was white and one was asian.
The black youngster was slim with short dark hair and was only 5ft tall.
The Asian boy was 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, and had short dark hair.
The white youngster was about 5ft 8ins tall, slim, and had short dark spikey hair.
They were with a large group of boys and girls.
It happened in the park, off London Road, between 2.30pm and 3pm on July 20.
Police want to speak to anyone with information on 101, where the officer dealing is PC Kevin Oxlade at Southend Area Investigation Team.
