FIREFIGHTERS attended a blaze at a car park in Leigh this evening after a van caught fire.
The front cab of the van, which was a Mercedes Sprinter, was alight when crews arrived at North Street car park after receiving a call at 7.08pm.
Using two hose reel jets and two sets of breathing apparatus, one crew from Leigh fire station extinguished the fire, which was completely out at about 7.30pm.
The van was parked in the car park and no one was inside.
An investigation will be launched into the cause of the fire but the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
