SOUTHEND United have parted company with manager Paul Sturrock.
The Scotsman has been in charge at Roots Hall since July 2010 but has failed to lead the club to promotion during that time.
The decision comes just two games before Blues will face Crewe Alexandra in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley.
Blues are currently ninth in the League Two table and have not won in their last three matches.
