SOUTHEND United have completed the signing of former Watford winger Harry Kyprianou.
The 18-year-old, who can also play at full-back, had been on trial with the Shrimpers.
But Blues boss Phil Brown has now decided to snap the youngster up on a year long deal.
“I’m really pleased to have signed Harry and he will initially be with our under 21 squad,” said Brown.
“The challenge for him is to push on from there but we’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen so far.
“He can play at left-back, on the left wing and also on the left hand side of three centre-backs so he covers plenty of positions and it’s important we keep an eye on the youngsters being released by Premier League clubs in our area.
“That’s what we’ve done with Harry.
"He's been training with us for a couple of weeks now and it’s good to have him on board.”
