CONCORD Rangers picked up maximum points at the New Lodge this weekend as they beat Billericay Town 1-0 in the National League South, reports Leon Imber.
This particular Essex Derby was not filled with action, but Danny Scopes’ men will be delighted with the result as it takes them up to 14th in the league standings.
The first half ended goalless with the home side having some bright spells, but the 66th minute saw the all important goal scored for the Beach Boys.
It was Lewis Simper who put the away side ahead with a delightful chip over the head of Dion-Curtis Henry.
The win was a fairly straight forward one for the visitors but it was helped further when Luke Wanadio was sent off in the 92nd minute.
It was certainly a ‘bad day at the office’ for Dan Brown and his team.
