SOUTHEND United defender Adam Crowther will again be absent with a calf injury when the Shrimpers host Rochdale at Roots Hall this weekend.
Crowther has missed the last three games and is not yet ready to return.
“Crowther’s still out,” said Maher.
“We’ll be pretty similar and we’ll pick the team we think is right for the game.”
However, Maher is not sure whether or not Noor Husin will be available.
The midfielder has been ruled out of the last five games due to a shin problem.
And Husin has yet to discover if he will need an operation to regain full fitness.
“We’re not sure yet,” said Maher.
“He’s got to see a specialist to see what way to go.
“That will come after the weekend when he’s seen the specialist.
“He’s done a little bit of training but whether or not he’s ready for Saturday we’re not sure.”
