PUBLIC NOTICE OF EMERGENCY WORKS
FOR THE ATTENTION OF LOCAL RESIDENTS AND USERS OF HADLEIGH COUNTRY PARK (SSSI)
Morrison Utility Services and Ground Control are working in partnership with UK Power Networks to repair a damaged section of high voltage cable through Hadleigh Country Park. This cable is one of two main feeds supplying residents of Canvey Island and the surrounding area. Emergency repairs must be made for the purpose of health and safety and to ensure continuous power supplies for the local area.
Works will commence on: 10.09.2014 and will last approximately 6-7 weeks
Works will include vegetation and scrub removal, to allow faulty areas of the infrastructure to be excavated and replaced. All work has been planned alongside, and in accordance with guidelines laid out by Natural England and Essex County Council. Clearance work will be completed under the supervision of an Ecologist to mitigate the impact to the SSSI site. Walkways and areas of the park have been cordoned off for your own safety.
