What better way to celebrate summer than with a refreshing pint and amazing tunes?

We're proud to announce that The Echo is supporting this year's Music and Beer Festival at the Vulcan. Following a hugely successful inaugural event last year, the festival is returning to London Southend Airport on Friday, August 2 and Saturday August 3, 2024.

Taking place in the Vulcan Restoration Trust's hangar at the airport, the event combines the very best in local live music, street food and locally brewed beers - all against the stunning backdrop of the Southend Vulcan!

Live music begins at 2.15pm and there'll be seven (yes seven) hours of live music each day! The lineup includes rock and metal band, Mid Life Crisis and southern country and rock band, Sons of Bourbon who'll both play on Friday. On Saturday the sets feature Foo Fighters tribute band, Faux Fighters, and pop and rock band, Throw Back to the Future, plus many more.

The Festival is being organised by the Vulcan Restoration Trust, a registered charity, and all profits will go towards the upkeep of the Vulcan at the airport.

Joining them at the festival, will be local breweries Black Box and Datum Attitude, who'll be offering 35 different beers and ciders between them. For those seeking something besides beer to quench their thirst, there will also be a Pimms & Prosecco Bar and the local Tipsy Bubbles Bar will be selling gin and tonics, a wide selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.

Are you ready to rock and roll?
