MARK Thomas is back at the Colchester Arts Centre, doing what he does best... causing mischief.

Already a firm favourite here, Mark’s previous shows have included the Manifesto, where he came up with a plan to steer the country out of the recession, and Extreme Rambling: Walking the Wall, which documented his walk along the length of the Israeli wall in the West Bank.

On May 13 this year, Mark set himself the task of committing 100 Acts of Minor Dissent in a year and, on the stroke of midnight of May 13 2014, the task will end. The show is his catalogue of those acts, from the smallest action to the grandest confrontations.

For those who don’t know Mark, he has become one of Britain’s most acclaimed comics and influential activists. After 23 years of performing, six series of the Mark Thomas Product and Mark Thomas Comedy Product with Channel 4, numerous documentaries, three books published and radio programmes, his achievements have been impressive.

They include changing the law on tax, secretly filming torturers, stinging arms dealers and exposing corporate skulduggery.
