ENJOY the Jolly Boat show at the latest Comedy Club at Colchester’s Charter Hall.
Brothers Ed and Tommy Croft formed the musical comedy act in 2010 as part of Ed’s graduation show.
Known for their pirate pop songs, the pair have regularly performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in 2011 won the Musical Comedy Awards.
Ed and Tommy have also been a huge draw at music festivals all over the world, including headlining the comedy tent at Benicassim in Spain, playing the Cabaret Tent at T in the Park, and getting a prestigious slot on the Bread and Roses stage at last year’s Glastonbury.
They will headline the Comedy Club later this month, when support comes from familiar faces on the stand-up circuit, including Martin Coyote, a pivotal member of the Comedy Store’s flagship topical show, the Cutting Edge, for many years.
He is also a prolific writer, whose credits include Bring Me The Head Of Light Entertainment, Loose Talk and Radio 5 Live’s the Treatment.
Also on the bill is Stefano Paolini, who since receiving the runner-up accolade in Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny Award 2001 has had a constant stream of TV and radio work, and Canadian comic Peter White.
Peter has recorded an own hour- long Comedy Network stand-up special, was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award and appeared in a TV mini-series with Pierce Brosnan.
