Trevor DOSSETT Flt Lieutenant R.A.F VR Rt'd Formerly of Leigh - on - Sea Trevors Family are sad to announce his passing in his 93rd year, on Wednesday February 20th In Victoria Canada. He passed away peacefully after a long illness, bravely borne, with his beloved Wife Janet by his side. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and friend to many. He will be so dearly missed. R.I.P.

When I was in Southend and Leigh-On-Sea with my dad, it was heartwarming to see so many people who crowded around him, to greet him, wish him well and thank him for his heroism. I have always been so proud of him, but especially so at that moment. That was at the Southend Air Show back in 2010. I want to thank everyone from the BBC to the newspaper to the wonderful citizens of my dad's birth place for the generous warmth for their hometown hero. After the war he moved to Canada to marry my mother, but he never forgot this very special place.
