THOMPSON Bridget Mary “Della†(nee Bannon) Aged 85 years. Passed away peacefully on Saturday August 22nd 2015 at Basildon Hospital. Funeral Service to be held at St. Basil’s Church at 11:00 am on the 15th September with a departing ceremony at the Pitsea Crematorium at 12:40 pm. Della was born in Athlone, Ireland on September 24th 1929 to the late Thomas and Alice Bannon. She moved to England as a young woman and met her late Husband, Leonard Thompson. Della and her late Husband had two children, their late Son, Roy, and only surviving Son, Alan. Della leaves behind four Grandchildren, Gregg, Layna, Matthew and Stephanie, her pride and joy. Della was instrumental in the twirling world for over 47 years and was recognised by Basildon Council for “play your part†volunteer in 2013, and more recently met HM the Queen of England at a tea party for her contribution and dedication to the community. She will be dearly missed by so many people R.I.P Della.
