With love from the O'Connor family It is with great sadness that the family of Mr Colin O'Connor announces his passing after a brief illness, on February 12th 2021, at the age of 82. Colin passed away peacefully at Southend Hospital and will be lovingly remembered by his sons Kevin, Shaun, Aaron, Gavin, Clayton and his daughter Leigh, and his 10 grandchildren, Kevin, Lenni, Franki, Jamie, Dominic, Reese, Aja', Benjamin, Junior and Esmae. Colin was a retired showman that was the owner and operator of a number of fairground rides, in the Kursaal, Peter Pans' Playground & Dizzyland. Colin is a Veteran of The Household Cavalry - The Life Guards and was a dedicated Freemason. Colin will be making his final ride along the golden mile from the Pier to the Kursaal around 2pm. The funeral service will be broadcasted live via the web at 2pm on Monday 22nd of March. Please contact a member of the family for access details.
