PETE WILLSHER 11th June 1943 - 4th May 2023 Pete (Peter Martin Willsher) was born in Southend-on-Sea on 11th June 1943 and sadly passed away on 4th May 2023 in Southend General Hospital. He left behind his loving partner, Victoria and his two sons Saul and Joey. He was well known both locally and abroad in the music world for his skill and musical expertise on the steel guitar and all other guitars. His funeral will be held on 31st May 2023 at the Pitsea Crematorium, Church Road in Bowers Gifford, Pitsea, Basildon, SS13 2HG at 2:30pm. Following this there will be light food and refreshments available at The Gun Public House on the London Road, in front of the Crematorium, so that Pete's friends and family can meet. Enquiries: S. R.I.P Pete, I worked with Pete for a few years at Ivor Mairants Musicentre ...
A wonderful musician , warm, funny an absolute pleasure to know, I have never forgotten his kindness , wisdom and love of life. Very few people have such presence and energy. It's been 30 years and I still think of Pete regularly with great fondness.
