Lyon Martin Hewitt Sadly passed away on 8th of June 2023, aged 74 at Southend Hospital after a long battle with illness. The funeral will take place at Southend Crematorium on Tuesday 25th of July at 10.40am. Donations to the NHS and/or flower's on the day.

To my very dear old friend, Mart. Marine Bar days were a great period of our lives, you playing drums with Mandarin Craze, us girls dancing in front of you. You taking me to Southend Hospital in the groups van, as I had a burst appendix, you hated hospitals, so I thank you for that night. You went to school with Dave Clark, my late husband, along with Tony Search too, your guitar player in band. So many happy memories. I was sad to hear of you going, I thought of your long black curly hair, that smile, that voice, what a singer. You mum Fran and dad Martin senior, many hours in your house whilst you had band practice, long nights away up recording studio and gigs far and wide, we were there, you dropping me off at work on way back next morning, changing in back of your van. My daughter Heather playing with your daughter Jess in your mums lounge. Good days of our youth. I loved hearing you play and sing, you made my 60s and early 70s. Thank you for the memories I now have as I take in your leaving us. Be happy with mum and dad now. RIP Mart xxx xxx x
