A FORMER councillor’s home was wrecked after she let hundreds of strangers into a party for her 14-year-old daughter which was advertised on Facebook.

Esther Hine was left counting the cost of the bash for daughter Sarah, after yobs trashed the family home in less than two hours of drunken mayhem.

Neighbours called police after youths from as far away as Hackney descended on the party held in Pauline Gardens, Billericay, on Friday from 6.30pm.

Up to 800 people were said to have congregated in and outside the house before police arrived.

However, damage, including a piano being thrown outside, furniture being smashed and graffiti daubed on every wall had already happened.
